Preparing for Your Threading Appointment
Threading requires very little preparation. There’s no need to let hair grow to a certain length (unlike waxing), and no need to avoid any products beforehand. Simply come in with clean, product-free skin on the area being treated.

Is threading painful?
Threading involves a mild snapping sensation as hairs are removed from the root similar to, and often less uncomfortable than, waxing. Most clients find it very manageable, and the sensation diminishes with regular appointments as hair grows back finer.
How long does threading take?
Eyebrow threading typically takes 10 to 15 minutes. Upper lip or chin takes around 5 minutes. A full face treatment can take 20 to 30 minutes depending on the amount of hair being removed.
Can I thread if I’m using retinol or prescription skin treatments?
This is one of threading’s great advantages over waxing. Because threading doesn’t disturb the skin itself only the hair it is generally safe even while using topical retinoids or prescription treatments. However, we recommend letting your prescribing clinician know and always flagging any active treatments at your appointment.
How often should I get my eyebrows threaded?
